"Her Pinkness" even has a pink cast, LOL!
Good job splinting DB, now off to the ER :(
So, January 5th is a day that will go down in our family's history books. It seems LL has a condition called Nursemaids Elbow. According to the bone doctor it is caused by an undeveloped cartilidge around the elbow joint. When the elbow is moved "just wrong" it goes out of joint. This happened when DB was getting her out of the bathtub and wrapping her in a hoodie towel (of all things!). He feels SO badly and has apologized at least seven hundred times. The doctor reassured him that there was no wrong doing and that this is a common condition; though not always requiring a cast. It seems her won't stay in place so...she is sporting a pretty, very pink cast for seven days. So far, I'll be honest she is miserable with this appendage. And I can't blame her. So some prayers for patience for her to learn to tolerate this foreign object on her arm would be appreciated. And an extra dose of patience for DB and me wouldn't hurt either. Such is life in the day of a parent. You learn to take the good along with the, thankfully, not so frequent bad events.
Oh, I just feel SO sorry for her. We'll be praying for you all. Is there a good chance that this could reoccur from time to time...or will it get better as she gets older? Doodlebug has a "very small" scratch on her knee that I have had to kiss 100 times. I'm not sure she could tolerate an actual injury.
ReplyDeletePEA POD!!! Get better soon! Auntie Keke loves you and will pray for patience, tolerance and quick healing for you! I love you.

How miserable for a littel girl who enjoys exploring her new surroundings. At least it is a pretty pink color. Hopefully time will pass quickly for all of you! We will keep all of you in our prayers.
